About MOEWE
- WHO -
Bridging people together
Hi there, I'm Victoria. My life here is built on four years of daily relationships with the people of Setouchi. Alongside my work with Bizen City Hall and co-owning Villa SHINOBI on Kashirajima, I wanted to find a way to share this region's culture, people, and craftsmanship more accessible to visitors. That's when I decided to create MOEWE. MOEWE is a coordination and guiding service focused on the Setouchi region, especially the Bizen area of Setouchi.
I connect visitors directly with the people and environments that define this place, in ways that feel authentic rather than a standard tour. Normally these type of visits would be difficult to access independently. However, my years living and working in the countryside allow me to coordinate experiences that feel personal, and local. With MOEWE, visitors are encouraged to engage directly with the people, and traditions that shape the region.
- MISSION ONE -
Forging meaningful connections
While the visits I design are professional, the atmosphere remains personal, relaxed and fun! When we walk through a workshop or spend time in a coastal community, you are not simply following a tour route. You are sharing time with the people who live and work there.
These experiences are centered around conversation, discovery, and human connection rather than passive sightseeing. Whether through long-standing relationships or new collaborations across the region, my goal is to create encounters that feel personal, open, and memorable for everyone involved.

- MISSION TWO -
Sustaining the region

Part of my perspective on cultural exchange was shaped during my time in Hiroshima, where I worked with atomic bomb survivors and the people dedicated to carrying their stories forward. It reinforced something I had already come to feel strongly through my life in the countryside: many forms of knowledge, memory, and tradition only continue when they are shared directly between people.
I believe tourism, when approached thoughtfully, can help support local life in meaningful ways. By choosing small scale, experience-focused travel, visitors contribute directly to the communities they encounter and help sustain the people, skills, and traditions that continue to shape the region today.
In a world that moves fast and connects everything instantly, I chose to work differently. Slower, more direct, and grounded in real human interaction.
