"Our main interest was learning and seeing what Bizen-yaki was about. I booked with Victoria after learning about her on Instagram. She tailored the tour to our interests & time constraints. What a fantastic time! She was quite knowledgeable about Bizen-yaki and most things in the area. She took us around the pottery village and introduced us to some of the potters. Our highlight was getting to tour the kiln of Isezaki Sou-san which was still warm since they just unloaded it. His apprentice showed us around and discussed the firing process. It was extremely fascinating. I ended up buying a piece as well. Too bad we didn't have more time in Okayama since Victoria has insights and experiences to share about the this part of the country. Hope to come back and tap into her expertise!"
